The Plainfield Village Town Hall is a public building available for rent for events, plays, concerts, and more. The hall was built in 1798 and moved twice before being rebuilt on its current location. What makes the Town Hall unique is that it is home to the one of kind stage set designed by Maxfield Parrish in 1916 with its original lighting, six wings, three overhead drapes, and a backdrop featuring Mt. Ascutney and the Connecticut River.  The set was designed for the stage and remained preserved in Plainfield for over 100 years.  The hall is open to the public for viewing the second Sunday of each month May to October.
